Project Manager
Procurement & Supply Chain
LHH is assisting a Carson area client in hiring an Estimator. The ideal candidate for this role is experienced in Commercial Construction, specifically core and early stages of fit out.
Experience could include Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, Finishes - Rough Carpentry etc. This role is hands on and would not be a fit for a candidate with primarily GC experience.
This role reports to the head of estimating and is responsible for:
- Preparing precise and comprehensive estimates for rough carpentry projects based on plans, specifications, and site visits.
- Analyzing blueprints, drawings, and related documentation to determine materials, labor, and equipment needs.
- Collaborating with subcontractors and suppliers to collect competitive bids and negotiate pricing.
- Use estimating software and tools to streamline the process and ensure accuracy.
This role will have some Project Management responsibilities:
- Overseeing multiple commercial rough carpentry projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating various activities.
- Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to provide updates and address concerns.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as an Estimator and/or Project Manager in commercial rough carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of rough carpentry methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and MS Office Suite.
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
