Accounting Associate

Pay: $24-27/hour, based on experience
Contract to Hire
2 days onsite in Century City
We are looking for an Accounting Associate to join our Accounting department. As our team is grow we need additional hands. You will be assisting with AR tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate contract and booking data entry into the accounting system.
- Investigate held payments and coordinate with the client team for missing bookings.
- Assist agents and assistants with booking report submissions.
- Communicate with agents, managers, attorneys, and external contacts as needed.
- Perform A/R month-end close, revenue booking, and update closing schedules.
- Handle billing adjustments and resolve discrepancies.
- Support A/R budgeting by identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct training for new agent assistants on trust accounting and booking submissions.
- Manage past-due collections while maintaining client relationships.
- Assist with special projects, company initiatives, and process improvements.
- Collect and update profit statements, booking records, and invoicing supplier grids.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3+ years of Finance/Accounting experience.
- Strong reconciliation skills and ability to resolve discrepancies.
- Entertainment industry experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 10-key proficiency and minimum typing speed of 45 WPM.
- Strong organizational skills and initiative.
Pay Details: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
