LHH Recruitment has partnered with a Global Manufacturing Company in their search for a Senior Accountant for their Chalfont, PA Location! This position offers a hybrid work schedule once fully trained.
Job Summary:The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for managing and developing accounting systems and processes to ensure the company's long-term stability and success. This includes preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledgers and reconciliations; monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; regulatory reporting; financial data analytics; and providing regular review and analysis of the company's balance sheets and income statements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure timely reports of all monthly financial information.
Generate and distribute monthly receivable and profitability reports.
Support budget and forecasting activities.
Monitor, document, and analyze accounting tasks to develop more efficient systems and procedures.
Respond to inquiries from company leaders regarding financial results and reporting.
Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
Develop and implement new procedures to enhance the workflow of the accounting department.
Recommend and implement improvements to the accounting cycle.
Provide year-end support on auditing requirements.
Experience and Education:
BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
3-5 years of experience in financial reporting/general ledger area.
CPA preferred but not required.
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) & Cost Accounting Standards.
Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Excel.
Corporate environment experience preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to multi-task and respond to changes in priorities.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion.
Proficiency with ERP Systems preferred.
Manufacturing background preferred.
