LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a general contractor located in Chandler. This company is in search of a safety specialist to join their team on a full time basis. The schedule for this job is Monday-Friday 5am-3:15pm, fully in office or in the field. To be considered for this job, you must be OHSA 500 certified and possess at least 2 years of safety experience. Hourly rate is between $30/hr-$36/hr DOE.
The position involves a dynamic mix of fieldwork and office responsibilities, with approximately 80% of your time spent in the field and 20% in the office. A significant portion of fieldwork will be conducted in clean room settings, so comfort and familiarity with such environments are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to minimize risks.
- Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to safety activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma is required. Some college is preferred
- 2+ years of safety experience
- OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 certification is required.
- Proven experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Excel skills, as well as experience with BlueBeam or Procore.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Comfortable working in a clean room setting.
