Accounts Receivable/Billing Manager

LHH is assisting a client in South Charlotte with their need for a Accounts Receivable/Billing Manager. This is a direct hire opportuntiy offering the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week. This position will be overseeing a small team and will require prior management experience. This organization is in the manufacturing and distribution industry; non-medical AR experience is required to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
Managing a team of 4-6 billers
Providing training, mentoring and direction to subordinates
Reporting on aging
Creating and implementing efficiencies within in the AR department
Working closely with collections team to support receivables’ efforts
Resolving discrepancies and handling escalated issues
Manage and maintain strict deadlines
Month and year end close processes
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years non-medical billing experience
Minimum of 2 years managing or supervising a team within billing
4-year degree required; BS in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
Strong technological proficiency, MS Excel knowledge as well as experience working in an automated environment
Portal billing experience required
