Job Description:

We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with real estate paralegal experience to join our dynamic commercial real estate practice. You will work closely with our attorneys to support various aspects of commercial real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination with Third Parties: Work with third parties to coordinate title searches, surveys, environmental inspections, appraisals, and UCC searches. Handle Zoning Verification Letters and Will Serve Utility Letters.

  • Document Drafting: Assist with drafting Purchase and Sale Agreements, Leases, and Amendments based on a Letter of Intent.

  • Transaction Management: Prepare and track closing checklists and transactional documentation (Deeds, Waivers, Title Objection Letters, etc.) from finalized Agreements through the completion of closing binders.

  • Closing Participation: Participate in and attend closings, and manage the disbursement of closing funds.

  • Document Retrieval: Search and obtain documents from various governmental websites (Register of Deeds, Secretary of State).

  • Due Diligence: Review due diligence materials to ensure all necessary information is gathered and accurate.

Qualifications:

  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to maintain a high volume of documents.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with attorneys, clients, and third parties.

  • Technical Proficiency: Technology savvy with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Advanced Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) and SoftPro.

  • Multitasking Ability: Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Certification: A paralegal certificate is required.
