Contract/Temp to Hire
$18.00 - $21.00 per Hour
- Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the firm.
- Handle intake of potential client calls, gather case information, and direct relevant details to attorneys and paralegals.
- Cover front desk duties during breaks, absences, or vacations, managing phone calls and greeting clients and visitors.
- Assist in running conflict checks, preparing new matter reports, and opening new client files; organize and close outdated files.
- Support the firm’s bookkeeper as needed with client accounts, preparing checks, and processing payments.
- Act as a runner for various tasks, including delivering deposits to the bank, dropping off mail, or running items to the courthouse or other firms.
- Manage outgoing and incoming mail, ensuring timely distribution and handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the breakroom, lobby, and conference rooms; prepare and clean up conference rooms before and after meetings.
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with client matters, including file management and client communication.
- Monitor office equipment, ensuring copy machines are stocked and functioning; maintain office supplies and place orders when necessary.
- Serve as a notary and witness for estate document signings when required.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with office equipment and basic bookkeeping tasks is a plus.
- Notary public certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Employment type: Contract to Hire
- Compensation: $18-21/hr
