Job Title: Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Location: Charlotte, NC

Job Type: Full-time, In-office (40 hours a week)

Area of Law: Business litigation, construction litigation, trade secrets, intellectual property (IP), general commercial litigation

Salary: $55,000+ Based on Experience.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented and skilled legal professional to join our litigation team in Charlotte. In this role, you will work directly with attorneys to provide a blend of legal administrative services and billable work. This is an in-office position that allows for collaboration and growth within a fast-paced, supportive, and rewarding environment. Our Charlotte office takes a team approach to its cases, and team members both staff and attorneys work closely and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee case management, maintain files, and assist in litigation strategy.

  • Calendar and track case deadlines.

  • Assist in discovery and trial preparation, including drafting discovery, organizing exhibits, and preparing witness materials.

  • Utilize e-discovery tools and techniques to support electronic document review and management (experience with Nextpoint is preferred).

  • Create, edit, and produce legal documents.

  • Perform administrative and office management tasks and provide support in various legal and office matters as needed.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, ideally in business litigation, construction litigation, trade secrets, IP, or general commercial litigation.

  • E-discovery experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Interview Process:

  • First round interview via Zoom with Office Administrator.

  • Second round in-person interview with attorneys.
