LHH is seeking a contractor for a Senior Analyst Trade Compliance. This person will work remotely. Are you passionate about U.S. Import regulations and compliance? Apply today!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Compliance: Assign proper harmonized tariff codes and duty percentages for all items directly imported into the United States.

  • Documentation: Identify and gather all required documentation to ensure items are admissible into the U.S.

  • Global Compliance: Ensure compliance with global customs and regulatory authorities.

  • Legislation Development: Develop, execute, and maintain relevant legislation to ensure proper application to impacted items and purchase orders.

  • Regulatory Research: Research proposed regulatory laws and existing regulations to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to the business.

  • Guidance: Provide guidance to merchants and/or global sourcing to support accurate costing decisions.

  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with Senior Managers to identify compliance and ethics process gaps and recommend improvements.

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.

    • In-depth knowledge of Mexico, Canada, and US export/import laws.

    • 5-10 years of experience in customs/global trade.

    • Operational experience in export/import operations and risk management.

    • Ability to hold and maintain Government clearances.

    • Background in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    • Experience in interpreting and providing guidance on Canada, Mexico, and US export/import regulations.

    • Experience in providing training on Mexico, Canada, and US export/import laws.

    • Integrity, flexibility under pressure, and ability to work independently.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.

    • Effective communication and leadership skills.



Pay Details: $35.00 to $55.00 per hour
