Grants Management Accounting Supervisor
Location: Chatsworth
Compensation: $48.00-52.00hourly
Are you passionate about making a difference in the community? Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Grants Management Accounting Supervisor to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective administration of grants and contracts, supporting various program areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of Grant Accountants, ensuring the development of financial reports, monthly projections, and compliance with funder requirements.
Financial Oversight: Act as the primary fiscal liaison, overseeing all financial aspects of the assigned program area, including budget preparation, financial reporting, and grant closeouts.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with grant and contract funding terms, OMB regulations, and accounting standards. Review and approve financial statements, invoices, and other reports to funders.
Team Development: Interview, hire, train, and evaluate new team members. Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to ensure continuity and consistency in grant management.
Process Improvement: Assist in designing and implementing finance processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and workflow within the Finance team.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or a related field. CPA or MBA is a plus.
Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in nonprofits. Strong knowledge of GAAP, OMB Circulars, and government funding requirements.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word. Experience with computerized accounting systems, Abila Fund Accounting, and Adaptive Insights is a plus.
Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, funders, and the public.
General Skills: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet competing deadlines. Highly motivated, with strong discretion and judgment.
Pay Details: $48.00 to $52.00 per hour
