Job Title: Benefits Analyst

Location: Remote (with travel to local office in Chicago)

Job Type: Full-Time

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description:

LHH is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefits Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Benefits, the Benefits Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of our employee group benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, employer-paid benefits, and the Employee Wellness program. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, investigate new benefits programs, improve existing ones, and supervise and monitor benefits administration. Additionally, the Analyst will offer analytical and technical support in the delivery of benefits programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for employees regarding benefit plan inquiries.

  • Administer benefits plans and programs in line with plan documents, insurance contracts, vendor agreements, and relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Maintain accurate data entry for employee benefit elections and dependent information.

  • Work with Talent Management leadership and third-party vendors to develop, communicate, and present benefit plans.

  • Advise new employees on benefit programs and conduct new staff orientation (NSO).

  • Oversee the Family and Medical Leave process, including tracking and administration.

  • Provide guidance to management and staff on federal laws, policies, and procedures.

  • Reconcile monthly benefits invoices following established procedures, including completing the invoice checklist and submitting documentation to Accounts Payable.

  • Resolve employee-related billing discrepancies promptly.

  • Support the annual benefits renewal process, including coordinating the annual open enrollment process, communication, and vendor data feeds.

  • Manage the Employee Wellness program.

  • Conduct all benefits-related audits.

  • Oversee the annual year-end processes for benefits, compensation, and payroll.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant benefits experience.

  • Knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations and legislation.

  • Knowledge of technical aspects of benefits administration (e.g., discrimination testing and government reporting obligations).

  • Demonstrated ability to assist in establishing and executing a benefits strategy.

Skills/Certifications:

  • PHR or CEBS preferred.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
