eDiscovery Paralegal

LHH is assisting our client with searching for a Paralegal to support the head of eDiscovery. The paralegal must have strong eDiscovery experience and can sit in any of the firm's offices located in CA, IL, MI, or TX.

Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 depending on experience + Benefits.

The candidate must have eDiscovery experience and be able to work independently. They should have technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The role involves verifying case-specific configurations, consulting with case teams and clients, creating and customizing databases, performing data triage, tracking project requests, communicating with vendors, monitoring the Relativity environment, training users, providing technical support, and drafting documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify case-specific configuration and instructions.

  • Consult with case teams and clients throughout the litigation process to ensure best practices.

  • Create and customize Relativity databases based on case team needs and set up user accounts.

  • Perform data triage of structured and unstructured data from various sources.

  • Track and log incoming and outgoing project requests, productions, and media containing document production data.

  • Keep department members informed of timeframes and deadlines related to processing, data loading, and production project requests.

  • Communicate with outside vendors for services such as trial support, scanning, OCR, or coding.

  • Monitor the Relativity environment for issues and notify appropriate parties.

  • Train users in the use of Relativity databases and best practices.

  • Provide backup technical support for LAW and other litigation support applications.

  • Draft documentation related to problem resolutions.

  • Perform other responsibilities as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Paralegal certification is preferred.

  • Certified or demonstrated expert knowledge in Relativity and LAW PreDiscovery.

  • Previous experience with legal technology within a vendor, law firm, or corporate legal department.

  • In-depth understanding of the litigation support process, including database searching, reporting, scanning and coding procedures, electronic discovery management, and document productions.

  • Knowledge of Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 or higher suite.

  • Ability to deal with a wide range of people, including attorneys, legal specialists, secretaries, vendors, and others.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities/projects effectively.

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.



Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
