LHH is working with a client based in the Chicago Loop that is looking to hire an Infrastructure Project Coordinator to join their team for a 6+ month project (very strong possibility of extension). The role will be 100% remote. Candidates should have at least 5 years of IT Infrastructure experience to be considered and a proven background as a Project Coordinator or Project Manager.
Candidates MUST reside in the continental United States to be considered and be willing to work as a w2 employee of LHH (no c2c at this time).
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Infrastructure Project Coordinator to help manage upgrades and refreshes of our IT systems. You’ll work closely with technical and application teams to ensure everything runs smoothly as we update servers, databases, and related tools.
What You’ll Do:
Coordinate infrastructure upgrade projects (servers, databases, tools, etc.)
Track project timelines, milestones, and dependencies
Work with teams to ensure systems are ready for updates
Keep project documentation and status reports up to date
Lead meetings, track action items, and flag any risks or blockers
Ensure all updates follow internal policies and security standards
What You Bring:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Experience managing IT infrastructure projects
Familiarity with enterprise IT environments (servers, databases, cloud, etc.)
Comfortable using tools like Excel, Jira, ServiceNow, and Power BI
Great communication and collaboration skills
5+ years of experience in IT project coordination (insurance or financial services a plus)
Understanding of technologies such as:
Servers/OS: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), Unix, AIX
Virtualization: VMware ESXi
Databases: Oracle, SQL Server
Middleware/Tools: WebSphere or similar
Cloud & On-Prem: Hybrid infrastructure environments
Expertise in IT service management (ISTSM) framework like ITIL Proficiency with CMDB tools and Service Now platform
Education: 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure project management/coordination, preferably in infrastructure lifecycle management.
Pay Details: $26.00 to $45.00 per hour
