In-House Paralegal – Corporate Governance
Full-Time | Schaumburg, IL | Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 (Based on Experience)
A well-established company in Schaumburg, Illinois is seeking an experienced In-House Paralegal to support corporate governance and compliance functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented paralegal who is looking to grow their career within a corporate legal department.
Position Overview:
The In-House Paralegal will play a key role in supporting the company’s legal and compliance teams, particularly in the areas of corporate governance, board management, and regulatory filings. This position requires a proactive, highly organized professional with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of corporate structures and legal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with corporate governance, including preparation of board materials, resolutions, and meeting minutes.
Maintain and update corporate records, including subsidiary management and entity documentation.
Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments and outside counsel on legal matters and corporate initiatives.
Conduct research on corporate policies, legal issues, and regulatory requirements.
Manage deadlines, filings, and documentation to ensure timely compliance with applicable laws.
Provide day-to-day legal support for the corporate legal team and other business units as needed.
Assist with special projects and legal operations initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in corporate governance, corporate law, or in-house legal departments.
Strong working knowledge of corporate records management and regulatory processes.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal document management systems is a plus.
Self-motivated with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $60,000 – $90,000, based on qualifications and experience.
