LHH is seeking an Intellectual Property Patent Paralegal to join their prestigious client's legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support a leading business law firm with an international presence.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate domestic and international patent filings with the USPTO and foreign law offices.
- Maintain a docket system for tracking due dates for actions such as responses, renewals, and Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) requirements.
- Prepare and file various documents with the USPTO or foreign counsel, including assignments and status summary reports.
- Handle routine activities related to the maintenance and protection of domestic and foreign patents.
- Conduct research and compile information on national and international patent rights, including searches of USPTO records and industry databases.
- Prepare correspondence to clients and review actions on correspondence received from foreign associates.
Who You Are:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree and Paralegal certification (preferred).
- Have at least five years of experience in patent work, including prosecution, maintenance, and renewals.
- Possess strong computer skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and familiarity with databases like Innovation, PATTSY, and Lexis/Nexis.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
