Are you an experienced Legal Assistant with a background in Estate Planning law? LHH is currently recruiting on behalf of a respected law firm in Chicago, IL, seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support their busy Trusts & Estates practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare estate planning documents including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney

  • Assist attorneys with trust administration and probate filings

  • Manage client communications and confidential case information

  • Coordinate court filings in compliance with Cook County probate court procedures

  • Organize and maintain legal files, calendars, and case deadlines

  • Handle billing, time entry, and expense tracking with accuracy


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary in Estate Planning - Trusts & Estates

  • In-depth knowledge of Illinois probate and estate planning procedures

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in legal software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems)

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
