We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Biller with eBilling expertise to join a dynamic legal team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the firm's billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines, and utilizing eBilling platforms to streamline the billing cycle. Previous use of eBilling systems such as Serengeti, TyMetrix, and Legal Tracker is require for this position.

Position Title: Legal Biller
Position Type: Direct Hire
Location: Downtown Chicago
Salary: $60-$65k
Worksite Type: Fully Onsite
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and process client invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Utilize eBilling systems (e.g., Serengeti, TyMetrix, Legal Tracker) to submit invoices, manage billing disputes, and ensure compliance with client-specific requirements.
Serve as point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and address any inquiries regarding invoices.
Generate billing reports to examine the status of client accounts and track billing metrics
Monitor and update billing systems and software to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the billing process.
Review and revise invoices to ensure compliance with firm’s policies and industry standards.
Provide training and support to attorneys and staff on billing procedures and eBilling platforms.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of legal billing experience, with a strong emphasis on eBilling.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Proficiency with eBilling platforms (e.g., Serengeti, TyMetrix, Legal Tracker) and legal billing software (e.g., Elite, Aderant, Bill4Time) is required
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve billing issues efficiently.
