Legal Executive Assistant – Trusts & Estates | $80K–$100K | Chicago, IL
LHH is assisting a leading global law firm is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Executive Assistant to join their Trusts and Estates / Private Wealth practice group in their downtown Chicago office. This role supports a team of attorneys working with high-net-worth individuals and families on estate planning, tax strategies, and fiduciary matters.

Key Responsibilities:
Draft, revise, and format complex legal documents related to trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
Prepare execution packages, manage post-signing processes, and assist with court filings in state probate courts.
Manage attorneys’ calendars, coordinate meetings, and handle all aspects of travel arrangements.
Maintain accurate time entry and assist with client billing and expense reporting using legal software tools.
Open and maintain client files, ensuring confidentiality and organization throughout the matter lifecycle.
Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal departments, delivering exceptional administrative support.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Executive Legal Secretary, preferably in Trusts and Estates or Private Wealth law.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word), and familiarity with legal tech tools like iManage, Adobe Acrobat, Carpe Diem, and Chrome River.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail, especially when handling legal documents and confidential client data.
Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced, deadline-driven legal environment.
