We are seeking a dedicated and organized Logistics Clerk to join our dynamic team. As a Logistics Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods from our suppliers to our customers. This is a Contract opportunity located downtown Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and input orders into our logistics system.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels.
- Coordinate the shipping and receiving of goods, including packing, labeling, and preparing shipping documents.
- Select appropriate carriers based on cost, transit time, and service level requirements.
- Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to customers regarding the status of their orders.
- Identify and resolve logistics issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of transportation and shipping regulations.
- Experience with logistics software.
- Contract
- Monday-Friday, hybrid after training
- Pay is $18-$23 an hour, depending on experience
