Are you an organized and proactive Legal Assistant with experience in medical malpractice litigation? LHH is partnering with a prestigious Chicago-based law firm to find a detail-oriented legal assistant to support their accomplished legal team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both remotely and in-office while assisting in high-profile cases.

Location: Chicago, IL
Type: Full-time | Hybrid Schedule
Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys handling medical malpractice cases

  • Draft and format legal documents, correspondence, and case filings

  • Manage case files, maintain litigation calendars, and track deadlines

  • Organize and review medical records, deposition transcripts, and discovery materials

  • Coordinate attorney schedules, court filings, and client communications

  • Assist in trial preparation, including assembling exhibits and legal binders

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of legal assistant experience, preferably in medical malpractice or litigation

  • Strong understanding of legal procedures, court filings, and case management

  • Proficiency with legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
