Payroll Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Payroll Specialist in Chicago, IL. This role will be 100% onsite. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with government regulations.
Worksite Location: 100% onsite in Chicago, IL 60661
Pay: $25-30/hour (DOE)
Duties:
Timekeeping review and downloading information with completeness and accuracy.
Reaching out to department managers for missed time.
Processing payroll in compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws.
Assist with payroll audits.
Researching and resolving payroll discrepancies.
Maintaining compliance with employment laws, equal pay, maternity leave, and redundancy procedures.
Payroll tax filings with federal, state and local payroll taxes.
Payroll balance sheet schedules and payroll reconciliations.
Reviewing payroll processing for accurate transactions including salary, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions.
Process payments and handle weekly, monthly quarterly and year-end reports.
Requirements:
Must have at least 1-2 years minimum of payroll processing experience and be comfortable working onsite in Chicago.
