Production Scheduler

Role and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and issue daily and weekly production schedules based on supply plan and line capacity.


  • Generate and issue work orders daily to align with production needs.


  • Monitor, track, and update supply and inventory plans, ensuring timely execution.


  • Collaborate with supply chain teams and internal/external manufacturing sites to address supply challenges.


  • Proactively assess material supply and adjust schedules to prevent disruptions.


  • Ensure prompt communication of schedules to supervisors and promptly resolve discrepancies.


  • Review schedule performance in daily meetings with the Production Manager.


  • Provide weekly reports on schedule adherence and attainment.


  • Resolve scheduling issues directly with staff and collaborate with material planners to meet supply requirements.


  • Document downtime, production peaks, and scheduling accuracy for continuous improvement.


  • Implement phase-in and phase-out plans for new products or changes, supporting innovation efforts.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.


  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in production scheduling within manufacturing.


  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.


  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work across multiple departments.


  • Understanding of supply chain performance metrics and improvement strategies.


  • CPIM or CSCP certifications from APICS preferred.
