LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Accountant for an onsite position with a reputable client. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to leverage their accounting skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Reimbursement Close: Participate in the monthly reimbursement close process, including handling third-party reserves, bundled payment settlements, and related journal entries.
Data Analysis: Prepare, compile, and analyze data related to Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare cost reports, governmental audits, and other related items.
Consultant Collaboration: Work with external consultants on the filing, amendment, and audit of third-party cost reports.
Reporting Assistance: Assist in the preparation of workpapers for internal and external reporting, including the Community Benefits Report and 990 Schedule H of IRS Form 990.
Survey Coordination: Coordinate the completion of Medicare Wage Index survey, Occupational Mix survey, and other required governmental surveys.
Regulatory Updates: Stay informed on reimbursement issues impacting the organization and assist in completing impact analysis of proposed regulations and rate changes.
Reconciliations: Prepare monthly reconciliations of third-party/Medicare PIP, cost report reserves, and bundled payment settlement liabilities.
Ad-Hoc Reporting: Satisfy requests for ad-hoc reports from senior financial management.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the finance team.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and financial analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills including V-lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Demonstrates a desire to continuously improve accounting and financial reporting skills through proactive professional development efforts.
Ability to work independently and creatively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: CPA or a master's degree.
Industry Experience: Experience in the healthcare industry.
Specialized Knowledge: Experience with reimbursement and revenue cycle.
