LHH is looking to hire a Senior Tax Analyst for a hybrid role located in downtown Chicago. Must have 3-5 years of federal and state tax experience from a public company. Our client offers a great company culture with opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Income Tax Preparation & Review: Develop and review work papers for monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provisions, and deepen expertise in ASC 740 requirements.
Tax Account Management: Oversee reconciliations of income tax accounts and manage tax-related entries in collaboration with the accounting team.
Consolidated Tax Returns: Coordinate the preparation of consolidated federal income tax returns.
Book-to-Tax Differences: Prepare and review book-to-tax differences for members of the consolidated group.
Foreign Tax Filings: Prepare and review Forms 5471, 8858, and 8865 for Controlled Foreign Corporations.
State Income Tax Returns: Prepare and review state income tax returns for separate companies and combined/unitary state returns.
Estimated Tax Payments: Review and assess quarterly estimated tax payments.
Other Filings: Prepare and review additional filings, including Foundation returns and Foreign Bank Account Reporting.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned; be prepared for responsibilities to evolve over time with or without notice.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree is required. An advanced degree and CPA certification are preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in federal and state income tax and tax provision is required. Experience in public accounting is advantageous.
Skills: Demonstrated analytical, organizational, technical, and technological skills. Must be able to collaborate effectively with team members and exhibit strong communication abilities and intellectual curiosity.
Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with OneSource tax provision and compliance software is a plus.
