LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting a company in Chicago with a search for a staff accountant. This a temporary to hire role that is primarily onsite. The staff accountant will support the controller with month end close and reporting. This role expands to back up accounts payable, assist with audit and special projects.

Responsibilities:

• Month end close entries

• Reconcile assigned accounts

• Back up to the accounts payable team as needed

• Review journal entries and accruals

• Month end reports and analysis

• Discrepancy resolution

• Audit support

• Assist with special projects

• Ad hoc reporting

Required:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accountant role

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

• Microsoft Excel pivot tables and look ups

• Excellent communication

• Analytical skills

Pay: $28-$33/hour
