LHH is partnering with a manufacturing company to hire a detail-oriented and motivated Jr. Accountant to join their team in Chula Vista. The Jr. Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting their accounting department by performing various general accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and entry of journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Support the monthly close process by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Reconcile bank accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
Assist with reviewing timecards and processing payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to work 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with some overtime
