Accounting Clerk

LHH RS is looking for an accounting clerk for a client just north of Cincinnati. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting cycle, from recording transactions to paying and collecting from vendors and customers. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $24/hr.

Job Duties:
  • Accurately record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Generate invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
  • Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Maintain organized and secure financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information and resolve accounting issues.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
