Accounts Payable Specialist LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced accounts payable specialist for a growing client in Cincinnati Ohio. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 year of accounts payable experience along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $19 and $23/hr. depending on experience. Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify invoices and check requests.
  • Sort, code, and match invoices.
  • Set invoices up for payment.
  • Enter and upload invoices into the system.
  • Track expenses and process expense reports.
  • Prepare and perform check runs.
  • Prepare electronic transfers and payments.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain vendor files and handle vendor correspondence.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues regarding unpaid invoices.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end closing.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts as required.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits.
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
