Overview:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in West Chester, Ohio. This role is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle billing and cash application processes, managing a hybrid team, and driving operational excellence through process optimization and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoicing & Cash Applications:
Supervise the preparation and issuance of invoices, ensure timely and accurate cash application, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of onsite and remote billing professionals. Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Process Design & Optimization:
Develop and refine billing workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
KPI & SLA Management:
Monitor key performance indicators and service level agreements to ensure billing operations meet or exceed targets. Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting & Analysis:
Generate and analyze billing reports, identify trends, and present actionable insights to senior leadership to support strategic decisions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with internal teams including accounting, finance, and customer service to ensure seamless billing operations and issue resolution.
Technology Utilization:
Leverage billing systems and financial tools to automate processes, reduce errors, and enhance productivity. Experience with SAGE300 is a plus.
Issue Resolution:
Proactively identify and resolve billing issues, implement corrective actions, and manage risk effectively.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in billing management or a related financial role.
Proven leadership experience, particularly with remote or hybrid teams.
Strong knowledge of invoicing, cash application, and financial reporting.
Familiarity with billing software and ERP systems; SAGE300 experience is advantageous.
Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and compliance.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
