Full Charge Bookkeeper / Full Cycle Accountant

$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per Year
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all financial entries.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Process and prepare financial statements in accordance with industry standards.
- Coordinate all accounting operational functions ensuring that invoices are paid and collected promptly.
- Track and manage job costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze project profitability and prepare job cost reports for management.
- Allocate costs to appropriate jobs and ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile AP accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate payment terms as needed.
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance and oversee precise job costing and inventory tracking.
- Generate and send customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Monitor and manage AR aging, following up on past-due accounts.
- Prepare and post customer payments and bank deposits.
- Administer employee payroll, benefits, and deductions, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding with employees.
- Collaborate with external auditors and prepare for annual audits.
- Assist with general administrative duties as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or accountant, ideally within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and construction accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software, such Sage or Deltek, and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of autonomy.
