Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist (Part-Time)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a part-time Payroll and Accounts Payable specialist for a client in Cincinnati, OH. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of relevant experience along with being able to work in an office 100% of the time. This position will work approximately 24 hours per week and will pay between $20 and $25/hr.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with HR and payroll services to process payroll efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records, including time off, sick leave, and other absences.
  • Process accounts payable, ensuring invoices are verified, approved, and paid on time.
  • Keep detailed records of accounts payable transactions and prepare related reports.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll and accounts payable regulations.
  • Address employee and vendor inquiries regarding payroll and accounts payable.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and/or accounts payable processing.
  • Familiarity with federal and state payroll and accounts payable regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience with accounting software like Point Click Care, QuickBooks, or Sage is a plus.
