LHH Recruitment solutions is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional for a great client in the Cincinnati, OH area. This is a full cycle role where the Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process, from invoicing to collections. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, payments, and account reconciliations, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have at least 3-5 years of recent, relevant experience along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. This role is direct hire and will pay between $45K and $60K annually depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Ensure all invoices are accurate and comply with company policies and customer requirements.
- Monitor and track invoice status and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Proactively contact customers to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
- Resolve any billing issues or disputes with customers.
- Maintain detailed records of collection activities and communications.
- Record and apply customer payments accurately in the accounting system.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any payment discrepancies.
- Prepare and process bank deposits.
- Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of accounts receivable balances.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging reports.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and address any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve any account-related issues.
- Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status and performance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits as needed.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving accounts receivable processes.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in business is preferred but not required.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
