Are you a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant? LHH is on the lookout for a Legal Assistant for one of our clients in Clearwater, Florida. Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, proofreading, and editing legal documents and correspondence for accuracy, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, format, and content

  • Calendar management, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, meetings, and hearings

  • E-filing documents with Federal and Florida State Courts

  • Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing client materials and work product within our document management system

  • Time entry and client billing

  • Review and edit pre-bills, ensure they are ready for attorneys’ review and approval

  • Submission of new business intake and conflicts checks and opening/closing of client matters

  • Answering telephone calls and routine questions from clients and team members, and/or routing calls to appropriate staff

  • Performing administrative duties such as client file management, general correspondence, expense reports, CLE tracking, check requests, and other administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • High school diploma from an accredited institution

  • At least 3 years of experience in a law firm setting is preferred, with a focus on litigation

  • Experience with trial preparation and litigation in State and Federal courts is required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly learn other programs

  • Experience in iManage and Aderant is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills

  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Client service-oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information

  • Ability to work extra hours as needed

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude



Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
