Responsibilities:
Preparing, proofreading, and editing legal documents and correspondence for accuracy, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, format, and content
Calendar management, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, meetings, and hearings
E-filing documents with Federal and Florida State Courts
Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing client materials and work product within our document management system
Time entry and client billing
Review and edit pre-bills, ensure they are ready for attorneys’ review and approval
Submission of new business intake and conflicts checks and opening/closing of client matters
Answering telephone calls and routine questions from clients and team members, and/or routing calls to appropriate staff
Performing administrative duties such as client file management, general correspondence, expense reports, CLE tracking, check requests, and other administrative tasks
Requirements:
High school diploma from an accredited institution
At least 3 years of experience in a law firm setting is preferred, with a focus on litigation
Experience with trial preparation and litigation in State and Federal courts is required
Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to quickly learn other programs
Experience in iManage and Aderant is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities
Client service-oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
Ability to work extra hours as needed
Self-motivated with a positive attitude
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
