LHH is recruiting a Legal Assistant for a growing downtown Cleveland law firm. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in the areas of estate planning, probate and litigation. This role involves managing case files, editing and preparing legal documents, conducting research, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, proofread, and file legal documents
- Organize and manage case files and related documentation across multiple practice areas
- Conduct legal and factual research using legal databases and public records
- Assist with preparing cases for hearings, mediations, closings, and trials
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third-party vendors
- Support estate planning and probate matters.
- Support litigation matters.
- Monitor deadlines, court dates, and filing schedules
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in estate planning, probate and/or litigation.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, legal procedures, and court systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal case management software, document management software, and e-filing systems.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to professionally and discreetly manage confidential information
- Detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
