Position Summary:

LHH is seeking a Medical Records Data Migration Specialist to assist in migrating patient files and notes (including progress notes and diagnoses) from Cerner to EPIC onsite in Cleveland, TN. The successful candidate will work directly with our Center system to export patient data into a continuity of care document, which is a regulated document containing critical aspects of patient care records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Push and export patient data for approximately 200 patients a day, working from a provided list of patients.

  • Execute the data migration process, which involves pushing patient data one at a time, averaging 90 minutes for every 20 patients.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of sensitive patient data, demonstrating high attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with the data conversion team to review and validate progress notes, medications, and other patient information.

  • Validate patient demographic information and ensure all records are accurate and complete.

  • Utilize CCD reports to export information automatically into tools for organizing data for migration.

  • Identify and address inaccuracies in data, working efficiently to meet project timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in migrating and validating data between software systems, specifically from Cerner to EPIC.

  • Experience with EMR systems is required, with preference given to candidates with EPIC and Cerner experience.

  • Demonstrated experience migrating healthcare clinical data from one EMR software to another.

  • General IT background with familiarity in data migration processes and clinical terminology.

  • Previous involvement in a data migration project is highly desirable; please highlight this experience on your resume.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Backgrounds in Medical Technology (Medi Techs) and Coding are beneficial, as candidates will understand relevant terminology, software programs, and possess experience working with large datasets.
