• Facilitate month-end closing procedures


• Generate and analyze monthly journal entries


• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and sign-offs


• Perform variance analysis on financial statements


• Regularly prepare and update balance sheet reconciliations


• Manage prepaid expenses, including schedule setup for expense recognition


• Handle Fixed Assets, including depreciation, acquisitions, and disposals; familiarity with Sage Fixed Assets beneficial


• Provide support for state and local tax issues, including report generation and notice follow-ups under senior accountant guidance


• Participate in ad hoc projects and documentation preparation for audits


• Contribute to process enhancement initiatives and ERP system testing

• Meticulous and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset


• Capable of working autonomously and within a team setting


• Strong communication skills and a penchant for teamwork


• Committed to process improvement and challenging the status quo

• Minimum of one year's experience in a comparable accounting role


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting


• Proficiency in MS Excel required; experience with QAD, Sage Fixed Assets, and Avalera Sales Tax software is advantageous
