About the Company: Our client, a leading manufacturing company in, is seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager to join their team in Columbus, Ohio. Job Description: The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's environmental, health, and safety programs. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Provide EHS training and education to employees.
Manage hazardous materials and waste disposal programs.
Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety.
Prepare and submit required EHS reports and documentation.
Must Haves:
3+ years of EHS specifically safety experience in a manufacturing setting (Chemical, Plastics, Pharma, Paint, or related preferred).
Good communicator able to work with cross-functional leaders.
Ability to serve as a leader through influence, with no direct reports.
Experience delivering training and leveraging best practice programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field preferred.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
