About the Company: Our client, a leading manufacturing company in, is seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager to join their team in Columbus, Ohio. Job Description: The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's environmental, health, and safety programs. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

  • Provide EHS training and education to employees.

  • Manage hazardous materials and waste disposal programs.

  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety.

  • Prepare and submit required EHS reports and documentation.

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of EHS specifically safety experience in a manufacturing setting (Chemical, Plastics, Pharma, Paint, or related preferred).

  • Good communicator able to work with cross-functional leaders.

  • Ability to serve as a leader through influence, with no direct reports.

  • Experience delivering training and leveraging best practice programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
