We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client's payroll team in Columbus, OH. This position is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong Excel skills and extensive experience in high-volume payroll processing. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the payroll team by helping with processing payroll for over 2,000 employees across multiple states. This includes both hourly and salaried employees. Your expertise in payroll processing and strong analytical skills will ensure that all payroll activities are completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for over 2,000 employees, including both hourly and salaried staff, across multiple states.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including data entry, payroll calculations, and adjustments.

  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations.

  • Collaborate with the payroll team to resolve any payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries.

  • Utilize strong Excel skills to analyze payroll data, create reports, and perform data validation.

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of payroll tax filings and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in high-volume payroll processing.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

  • Experience with multistate payroll processing for both hourly and salaried employees.

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.



Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $750,000.00 per year
