We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our client’s team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in the construction industry or project management. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment and will be based onsite in downtown Columbus. The Purchasing Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting new location buildouts, ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are procured and delivered on time to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement of new supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.

• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Develop and manage cost projections to ensure projects stay within budget.

• Monitor project timelines, ensuring key dates are met and managing expectations accordingly.

• Support the setup of new locations, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are in place.

• Prepare and present regular reports on project status, costs, and vendor performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction procurement or project management.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software

• Comfortable with vlookups and pivot tables in Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
