We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our client’s team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in the construction industry or project management. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment and will be based onsite in downtown Columbus. The Purchasing Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting new location buildouts, ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are procured and delivered on time to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement of new supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Develop and manage cost projections to ensure projects stay within budget.
Monitor project timelines, ensuring key dates are met and managing expectations accordingly.
Support the setup of new locations, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are in place.
Prepare and present regular reports on project status, costs, and vendor performance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction procurement or project management.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
Comfortable with vlookups and pivot tables in Excel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
Pay Details: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
