Assistant Controller ($80,000.00 - $100,000 + Bonus) – Onsite in Fort Worth
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Assistant Controller for our client in the environmental services space in Fort Worth, TX. This position will involve overseeing financial operations across multiple locations, working closely with district operational managers to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and have a minimum of two years of experience in general ledger accounting.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the monthly financial close process, including preparation of financial statements for designated locations.
Perform reconciliations of all general ledger accounts and provide detailed variance analysis against budget and forecast.
Develop and communicate three-month financial forecasts, along with rate analysis and review.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and participate in the annual budget planning process.
Train non-financial personnel on internal control compliance and accounting procedures.
Manage the flow of accounting data between remote facilities and provide ongoing financial communication to business partners.
Client Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
A minimum of two years of experience in general ledger accounting
Experience in public accounting and industry is ideal
Strong proficiency in Excel
Ability to relocate within 12-18 months for a promotion to Controller is required.
