The Litigation Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting attorneys throughout the life cycle of high-profile commercial litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial business litigation, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail. This position requires the ability to manage multiple high-priority cases simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Assist with managing litigation cases from inception to close, including organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining case calendars.

  • Document Preparation & Review: Draft and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and deposition summaries. Review and organize evidence for trial preparation.

  • Discovery: Coordinate the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document production, and conducting legal research.

  • Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys with trial preparation by preparing exhibits, trial binders, and witness lists. Attend trials, depositions, and hearings as needed, providing trial support and ensuring all logistics are coordinated.

  • Filing & E-Filing: File documents with courts, government agencies, and other entities, ensuring compliance with all filing deadlines and rules (both state and federal courts).

  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary case information, schedule meetings, and update on case status.

  • Billing & Timekeeping: Track billable hours and ensure accurate time entries for the attorneys supported.

  • Coordination with Experts: Coordinate with expert witnesses, consultants, and other professionals in connection with case preparation.

  • Legal Research: Conduct research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal trends to support case strategy and litigation efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial business litigation experience in a law firm

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures, including e-filing and discovery rules.

  • Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other litigation management platforms.

  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and document management skills.

  • Experience with trial preparation and support, including the use of trial presentation software and managing trial exhibits.

  • Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff.

  • Paralegal Certification (preferred but not required).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.



Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
