LHH is partnering with a large Manufacturer in Fort Worth to find a strong Controls Engineer to join their Engineering team! This role is 100% onsite and offers stability, great pay, and benefits! Apply below to be considered!
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales team and customers during the pre-sales phase to define the scope of work, technical requirements, risks, schedule expectations, and resource needs.
Analyze detailed specification documents and drawings to understand project requirements.
Utilize your knowledge of commercially available hardware and software to research, evaluate, select, and apply various industrial control system components.
Develop initial control system design concepts.
Design control systems based on customer requirements, considering constraints such as cost, time, component availability, physical space, labor availability and skill, uptime and reliability, and performance requirements.
Design control system safety circuits according to application needs and current standards.
Create bills of material for your designs, including engineering and assembly labor time estimates.
Use AutoCAD Electrical to create enclosure and backpanel layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, network diagrams, conduit schedules, etc.
Provide guidance to panel shop assemblers during project construction, promptly addressing and resolving any issues that arise and keeping drawing changes up to date.
Perform in-house final testing before delivery and participate in factory acceptance testing when needed.
Occasionally provide installation, start-up, and technical support at customer sites.
Core Requirements:
B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or similar) from an accredited program.
Experience designing industrial control systems using PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC/Servo Drives, sensors, safety devices, etc.
Proficient in using AutoCAD Electrical to draw enclosure layouts and system schematics.
Ability to design, program, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI hardware.
Strong knowledge of electrical equipment and components used in automated machinery and industrial control systems.
Knowledge of safety system components, circuit design practices, and relevant standards.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts both verbally and in writing.
Proficient with Windows-based applications such as Word and Excel.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage time efficiently.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to program/troubleshoot Siemens and other brand PLC hardware.
Experience integrating ABB or FANUC robots with PLCs.
Familiarity with Keyence or Cognex machine vision systems.
Experience working on EPC projects, writing control narratives, submitting RFIs, Change Orders, etc.
PPE experience.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
