LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a fluent Japanese-speaking Document Reviewer with a Juris Doctor (JD) and an active bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction for a confidential plaintiff-side litigation project. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for attorneys with strong language skills and litigation experience who are looking to contribute to high-impact legal matters involving Japanese-language documents.

This role requires precision, confidentiality, and a deep understanding of legal review processes. Candidates with an engineering background are strongly preferred due to the technical nature of the documents. Please note: prior defense-side experience may present conflicts and could disqualify candidates from consideration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze Japanese-language documents for relevance, privilege, and key issues in ongoing litigation

  • Translate and summarize complex technical and legal content from Japanese to English

  • Apply legal knowledge to identify critical information and support case strategy

  • Collaborate with litigation teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in document coding

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to project-specific protocols and deadlines


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Active bar license in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction

  • Fluency in Japanese (reading and writing) is required

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal experience, with document review or litigation support preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment

  • Engineering or technical background is a plus

  • Plaintiff-side litigation experience is required; defense-side experience may be disqualifying due to conflicts



Pay Details: $90.00 per hour
