Job Title: Applications Engineer II

Summary:

Seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support CNC machine operations, customer training, and technical consulting. This role involves hands-on machine setup, programming, and customer-facing responsibilities including proposals and demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for CNC machines via phone and in person

• Conduct time studies, test cuts, and machine demos

• Design and fabricate fixtures for demos and turnkey projects

• Troubleshoot complex machining processes

• Program CNC machines using G-code, macros, and CAM systems

• Set up and inspect parts on 5-axis and mill-turn machines

• Generate technical documentation and engineering proposals

• Train customers post-installation

• Collaborate with sales to consult on customer technical needs

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience

• 3–7 years in CNC machining and applications engineering

• Proficient in CNC programming, machine setup, and part processing

• Experience with horizontal machining centers is a strong plus

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
