Administrative Assistant / Accounts Payable (Contract)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an Administrative Assistant with accounts payable experience to help with a 6-8 week contract to help cover a leave. This position will involve general administrative duties along with vendor invoice processing. Pay for this position will range between $19 and $21/hr. This job is fully onsite in downtown Dayton.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive, review, and process accounts payable invoices for multiple properties.
  • Ensure all invoices are accurately coded and approved in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all transactions and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Assist property managers with administrative tasks, including lease administration, tenant correspondence, and maintenance requests.
  • Maintain accurate and organized property files and records.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for property maintenance and repairs.
  • Respond to tenant inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional manner.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the property management team.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
  • Familiarity with property management software and accounting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
