LHH is partnering with a leading manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality products and fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment. Our client’s commitment to innovation and excellence drives their success, and they are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their team in San Diego, CA.


Job Summary:


The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including journal entries, month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. This role also involves significant duties related to internal audits and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to meet critical deadlines, and the capability to provide in-depth analysis of financial results.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.


  • Lead and support internal audit processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies.


  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.


  • Conduct inventory analysis and prepare related journal entries.


  • Prepare commission analysis and reports


  • Review and manage expense reports, ensuring timely and accurate processing.


  • Assist with external audits and ensure timely and accurate submission of required documentation.


  • Participate in various accounting and finance projects as assigned by management.


Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.


  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role


Skills:



  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
