Summary

We are looking for a Controller to join our client in a fast-paced, fast-changing, medium size company, yet start-up environment, where you will oversee the company financial activities and play a crucial role in managing accounting functions, analyzing financial information, and providing strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team.

Compensation

The annual salary range is $150,000-$180,000 depending on experience. Benefits include health, financial, and lifestyle benefits, including: Health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Retirement planning with a 401 (k) plan through Vanguard Health saving/flexible spending programs (HSA or FSA).

Location

Hybrid role based in Denver, CO. This role will require heavy travel to Clearwater, Florida in the first 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day and monthly transactions and accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, payroll) while leading the accounting team

• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings

• Developing and implementing financial strategies and policies

• Managing the treasury function, including cash flow management, banking relationship, and investment strategies

• Hiring, developing, and leading high-performing teams

• Maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial activities

• Overseeing vendors and contracts; negotiating terms and eliminating inefficiencies

Qualifications

• 7-10 years senior leadership experience

• 3-5 years of relevant industry exp. ($300M>, med size company)

• Bachelor’s degree and CPA required

• Experience leading multi-site remote teams across geographic regions, time zones, and business entities across a matrix organization

• Balanced and passionate leader in tense, time-sensitive delivery environments

• Significant travel required

• Comfortable with ambiguity

• Experience writing a universal revenue policy
