About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Compensation Consultant to develop and implement effective compensation strategies and programs. This role is crucial in attracting, retaining, and motivating employees by collaborating with Finance, Benefits, and Compensation leaders. You will manage the analysis, design, and administration of compensation programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and enhance compensation structures and practices for physicians and administrative staff. Develop innovative compensation programs to attract and retain top talent.
Market Research: Conduct market research and benchmarking analysis to stay updated on compensation trends. Analyze market data to recommend salary structures, incentives, and benefits.
Survey Management: Coordinate and manage the submission of survey data related to physician compensation. Ensure timely and accurate data submission and stay updated with survey methodologies.
Job Evaluation: Utilize job evaluation methodologies to assess positions, develop job grading systems, and ensure internal equity.
Salary Structures: Develop and administer salary structures, including guidelines and policies. Provide guidance on salary adjustments and incentive programs.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with finance and HR to develop compensation budgets, track expenses, and analyze the financial impact of compensation initiatives.
Performance Integration: Integrate compensation programs with performance management systems and provide guidance on linking performance metrics to compensation rewards.
Compensation Committee Support: Assist in preparing Compensation Committee materials, serve as scribe, and capture meeting minutes.
Financial Analysis: Evaluate the impact of compensation arrangements on financial performance and provide insights to optimize compensation budgets.
Training & Communication: Develop and deliver training on compensation policies and communicate plans and updates across the organization.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Conduct internal audits to address potential risks.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 7-10 years of related experience in compensation. Experience in physician compensation analysis and strategy development within the healthcare industry is preferred.
Skills: Advanced knowledge of compensation philosophies, employee benefit programs, and mathematical calculations for compensation models. Expertise in MS Excel and proficiency in MS Office suite. Experience with compensation tools (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Oracle, UKG) is a plus.
Certifications: CCP, CEBS, PHR, or SPHR preferred.
