The annual salary range is $180,000 - $210,000 + bonus, depending on experience. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, HSA, STD, LTD, 401(k), Wellness Programs, EAP, and Continued Education Reimbursement.Hours and Location
This is a Hybrid position, with the expectation to be the in office in Downtown Denver 3-4 times a week; 15% travel outside the state required.Responsibilities
- Manage financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Recruit, manage, and mentor the accounting team.
- Serve as a mentor to develop department staff, ensuring performance standards are maintained, employees feel supported, recognized, and held accountable through performance reviews, coaching, and regular feedback.
- Promote teamwork and professional relationships within the department and with other departments and managers.
- Oversee tax-related activities and ensure compliance.
- Direct the external audit process.
- Oversee cash management and banking relationships.
- See to department staffing needs (e.g., interviewing, hiring, training, evaluations, job descriptions).
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Support M&A activities and integrate acquired entities.
- Develop financial strategies with the CFO.
- Adapt to change and champion change management initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry changes and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CPA certification required
- 10+ years of executive-level experience.
- Expert ERP experience (Netsuite preferred)
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, GAAP, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience in managing external audits and relationships with CPA firms
- Expertise in treasury management, including financial risk management
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop a high-performing team
- Ability to make strategic decisions and adapt to change
