Compensation

The annual salary range is $180,000 - $210,000 + bonus, depending on experience. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, HSA, STD, LTD, 401(k), Wellness Programs, EAP, and Continued Education Reimbursement.

Hours and Location

This is a Hybrid position, with the expectation to be the in office in Downtown Denver 3-4 times a week; 15% travel outside the state required.

Responsibilities


  • Manage financial close processes (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Recruit, manage, and mentor the accounting team.
  • Serve as a mentor to develop department staff, ensuring performance standards are maintained, employees feel supported, recognized, and held accountable through performance reviews, coaching, and regular feedback.
  • Promote teamwork and professional relationships within the department and with other departments and managers.
  • Oversee tax-related activities and ensure compliance.
  • Direct the external audit process.
  • Oversee cash management and banking relationships.
  • See to department staffing needs (e.g., interviewing, hiring, training, evaluations, job descriptions).
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Support M&A activities and integrate acquired entities.
  • Develop financial strategies with the CFO.
  • Adapt to change and champion change management initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and ensure compliance.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA certification required
  • 10+ years of executive-level experience.
  • Expert ERP experience (Netsuite preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, GAAP, and financial reporting standards
  • Proven experience in managing external audits and relationships with CPA firms
  • Expertise in treasury management, including financial risk management
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop a high-performing team
  • Ability to make strategic decisions and adapt to change
