About the Opportunity:

Our client, a respected financial institution in Metro Detroit, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong background in the banking industry. Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts

• Process and oversee ACH and wire transactions

• Prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory reports

• Support internal and external audits

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

• Collaborate with internal departments to support financial operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in the banking or financial services industry (5+ years total accounting experience preferred)

• Hands-on experience with ACH and wire transfer processes

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
